Lane Hutchins is a seasoned professional horsewoman who has done a lot of everything in her years with horses. She was a Graduate A Pony Clubber, hunter competitor and judge, Pan Am Games Trials eventing competitor, and a whipper in, and is now a successful thoroughbred breeder and trainer of racehorses. She contracted with Carol Grosvenor to market Tivydale Road, shown above. Having sold many horses in the past, she knew she did not have the time necessary to sell him when she had broodmares and others to keep in training

"I was very pleased with Carol's service. It took about a month to find a buyer and was relatively easy for me. I received my full asking price. She sent out 12 videotapes and we had two people come to see him. The first lady contracted a knee injury and couldn't buy a horse, even though she liked him. The second lady to come out bought him after one ride. She came without the trainer to see him, but the trainer had already seen the video and was impressed with his temperament and basics. We ended up with three full price backup offers and the sale went off without a hitch. I've made friends with his new owner and I'm thrilled he went to such a good home. She even sent me a Christmas card with his picture on it!"
