Driving directions from Austin. Take Hwy 290W, turn left on 281S toward Boerne. At Boerne, take a right on 46W and then pick up 16W to Bandera. You will T into the main street of Bandera. Go left. The park turn off is just past the Medina River bridge on the right. Follow the road about 10 miles to park entrance.

Reservations are usually, but not always, required. Camping is strictly primitive. No showers, no hookups, water for horses, and pens. Hill Country Equestrian Lodge next door is a bed and bale if you want better accommodations. Ride in / ride out access. Silver Spur, Mayan and Dixie Dude Ranch and others are nearby.
